Diane Duren-Scollo


Diane Duren Scollo has a Master’s Degree in ESOL from the University of Connecticut and worked over 12 years in the Education field. As an Adjunct Faculty member, she provided instruction in both English and Spanish, efficiently managed internships in education, helped the students to meet their individualized educational goals, designed modules /courses, and developed curriculum in accordance with state guidelines. At this moment, she is proud to be an EAP Instructor at Valencia Community College. She enjoys searching for many ways to help her students to further develop their academic language skills. She is a fan of Bloom’s Taxonomy, the Zone of Proximal Development, and Instructional Conversation, which she uses as teaching models in her classroom. Her number one priority is to engage her students in the learning process, so they can become independent and successful learners.
