Danny Fuerstman

Adjunct Professor of Political Science

My name is Danny Fuerstman and I've been teaching political science classes since 2006. Which is a long time ago, and it keeps getting even longer with each passing year. I definitely recommend not getting old if you can avoid it.

I'm originally from New Jersey (also known as the greatest state in the country) and have been living in Florida since 2009. I have a Masters in political science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and several years of graduate courses in higher, adult, and lifelong education from Michigan State University.

I teach pretty much all of the political science classes we offer, and I love each of them in their own way. Whether it's looking at the levels of government that are closest to our lives (POS 2112), or the fascinating goings on in Washington, D.C. (POS 2041) or how different countries interact with each other internationally (INR 2002), there's something for everyone in the political science tent.

Back when I was a student I remember thinking that my political science professors must have spent all of their free time following politics. I am very happy to say that I do not. My hobbies include watching sports (especially soccer - go Arsenal and basketball - go Timberwolves!), gaming of the board/video/tabletop variety, and traveling. I spend way more time and money at theme parks in Orlando than I should. I have also recently joined a barbershop chorus in Tampa and I'm trying, and mostly failing, to learn Spanish.

Since I live fairly far from Orlando, I am available for a Zoom call, FaceTime call, or regular phone call. Send me an e-mail or a Canvas message and we can set up a time to chat.
