Evelyn Rodriguez

Welcome!

I am excited to be a part of the Valencia community. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have 10 plus years of experience in the educational field (including teaching high school, college-level, and adult learners) as well as 10 years in the mental health field. Among the variegated personal and professional revolutions in my life, standing strong beside those who need it, helping others to improve their lives and be successful, growing in true excellence, and making the best of every situation are some of the things of which I am most proud.

I have studied abroad. Starting over in the landscape of chosen and sudden change is a part of my history. I first dreamt of pursuing acting; in college, I followed my love of languages and found the joy and challenge of teaching. In a new state, my counseling adventure began leading me to broken homes, scary places, and more than once, to the opportunity to play a founding role in something new. I performed on local theatre stages.

I am looking forward to our class journey.
