Dr. Janet Selitto


Dr. Selitto is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University where she earned her master's degree in English education and her doctorate in higher education leadership.

She began her teaching career on East Campus Valencia in August of 1995 and subsequently transferred to West Campus where she taught ENC 1101, ENC 1102, Prep 2, EAP Grammar, Writing, and Reading , and served as tutor in the writing lab on both the West Campus and the Osceola Campus. She also served as part-time academic planner for the nursing students on Osceola campus in 1997-1998. All this while simultaneously teaching at UCF in the composition department.

Dr. Selitto subsequently left Valencia in December of 2003 and began teaching at Seminole Community College now Seminole State where she still teaches. Dr, Selitto came back to Valencia West campus, after a 10 year hiatus, to teach ENC 1101 and 1102.

In May of 2015 Dr. Selitto was awarded Covington's Who's Who Executive of the year in her field. She currently teaches for three different schools: Valencia West Campus, Seminole State Sanford and Oviedo Campuses, and Itt-Tech Lake Mary.In her career, she has taught, ESOL, EAP Writing and Reading, Research Writing at the Master's level, and Business writing,
