Megan Evans

Professor of English

I have been a part of Valencia since 2004. In 2004, newly graduated from West Orange High School, I decided to attend Valencia in favor of small class sizes and a homey atmosphere, as opposed to the more intimidating atmosphere of a university. In 2006, prior to graduating with my AA in English, I began working at Valencia as a Supplemental Learning Leader in ENC 1101 classes. In 2009 I completed my BA in English at UCF. Then, for about six or seven years (one loses track after a while), I worked for the Educator Preparation Institute here at Valencia. During that time, I also taught Developmental Writing. In 2011, I returned to UCF for my Masters in English: Literary, Cultural, and Textual Studies. I have been teaching ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 here at Valencia since January of 2014.

In my spare time, I like to read, write, sew, and spend time with my husband and son.
