Ms Nancy Fletcher

I am a native Floridian, born in Coral Gables. I have traveled widely in the United States, but Florida is my home. I have always been a beach lover. I firmly believe that all people could benefit from a daily walk on the beach.

I earned my MA in English Literature from the University of South Florida in Tampa. I also teach at Seminole State. Valencia West is a lively student-centered campus, and I find that teaching at a campus where one encounters live bears does add interest to the commute.

One of my favorite thoughts on teaching comes from Mary Anne Radmacher. Courage does not always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.’
