Dr. Nichole Segarra

Dean of Mathematics


Nichole Segarra is the Dean of mathematics on the Osceola campus. She received her Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership degree from the University of Central Florida in 2015, and wrote a dissertation on an analysis of faculty collaboration on student transfer through articulation agreements. She also earned her Master of Science in Mathematical Science degree from the University of Central Florida in 2008, and wrote a thesis on comparing assessment methods as predictors of student learning in undergraduate mathematics courses. Her research was published in the International Journal of Mathematical Education in Science and Technology. She is dedicated to improving her teaching methods through continued integration of innovative classroom technologies. She earned her Digital Professor Certification (a professional development certificate from Valencia College for online instruction) in 2012. Her recent interest and research efforts have been focused on faculty collaboration among high schools, community colleges, and universities on the success of incoming freshmen and outgoing transfer students.
