Richard Russell

Professor of Mathematics, West Campus

Richard Russell is a tenure-track mathematics professor on Valencia's West campus and has been with the college since May 2006. He is originally from Oxford, Mississippi, but also lived in Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Nashville, and Washington, DC while working in another career field before deciding to become a math professor. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Mississippi and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Central Florida. Professor Russell uses a learning-centered approach to teaching mathematics, and he welcomes you to contact him with any questions about the courses he teaches.
