Ms. Sunshine Baker

Working as a professor, a blogger, and an online marketing consultant gives Sunshine Baker a unique perspective on communication.

After finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication at UCF Nicholson School of Communication, Sunshine realized there was still so much in the Communication field that she wanted to explore. While earning her Masters degree in Mass Communication at NSC she focused her studies on social media. She’ll be presenting a paper entitled “Dining and Dishing: Analyzing Uses and Gratifications of Facebook and Twitter Interaction by Patrons in the Restaurant Industry” along with two other social media related papers at the National Communication Association convention in 2014.

Sunshine also works as a Social Media Consultant. With a focus on online channels, Sunshine is responsible for developing and executing programs that allow her clients to build connections within their respective communities, grow brand awareness and equity, and increase business success. Sunshine’s passion for community building and information sharing drives her innovative approach to social networking—on and offline. Sunshine has a background in human resources and event planning and worked as an e-commerce consultant before becoming a Social Media Consultant. Her passion is using the power of social media to spread the word about the amazing businesses in Central Florida.

Sunshine makes her home in Winter Park with her husband, Rick, two children, Cassidy and Connor, and Big Daddy, the family pug.
