Shannon Flynn

Professor of Mathematics

Shannon P. Flynn grew up in Central Florida and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in 1984. She began her professional career as a Sales Engineer with Intel Corporation in Central Florida and, through successful management of quotas in excess of $10M, Shannon was promoted to their Territory Manager of Florida within six years. Several years later, she gained further experience as a Field Applications Engineer and as a Manufacturers’ Rep.

In 2000, Shannon began her teaching career at a local community college. She has continued to teach multiple levels of algebra at the college and middle school levels for 16 years and earned her Master of Education degree in Mathematics Education in 2012 from the University of Central Florida.

Shannon can be found teaching on multiple college campuses and has three beautiful daughters currently enrolled in college. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and friends, as well as reading and sharing books with her church book club.
