Dr. TAMIKA GARRICK

Professor, Biology & Plant Science and Technology Program

Dr. Tamika Garrick is a professor of both the Plant Science and Technology(PSAT) program and the Biology department on the West Campus. She holds a Doctorate in Plant Medicine degree with a focus in Nematology, Plant Pathology, Soil and Water Science, and Entomology from the University of Florida. She also holds a Master’s degree in Entomology from the University of Florida where she specialized in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of fruit and vegetable crops. She has an expansive background in research in pest management of fruits and vegetables. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Experimental Biology (Botany & Zoology) from the University of the West Indies, Mona in Jamaica.
Dr. Garrick has over 7 years of teaching experience at the high school and college level. She currently teaches General Biology I (BSC1010C), Botany (BOT2010C), Introduction to Environmental Science (EVR 1001), Survey of Pest Control (IPM1301C), Principles of Entomology (ENY1002C) and Ornamental Plant Maintenance (ORH1234C).
