Music Appreciation is designed to sharpen the student's listening focus in order to enrich his/her listening experience. The course accomplishes this by moving in easy steps from elements of its language to masterpieces of Western music. World music and popular music are also included. Supplemental reading and listening is provided with regard to current trends, music in politics and pop musics influence on popular culture.
