I asked students completing Spanish II what they would have liked to have known when they started in Spanish I. Here is what they stated: “Make sure you attend every class.” “Wish I had studied more.” “Don’t wait on your workbook.” “Download the book’s app and use it.” “Remember to study the vocabulary and always do the online workbook ahead of the tests.” “I would watch Spanish speakers, watch Spanish soap operas, and watch the news in Spanish to improve my vocabulary.” “Make sure to get the conjugations learned at the beginning.” “I would like to have known that it will take more than just studying. I would have gotten a tutor and practiced more.” “Study the online assignments before the test.” “Just converse in Spanish whenever possible.” “Study more.”
