Dr. Alberto De Arrigoitia

D.C.

I first moved to Central Florida in 1968, at that time Orlando was a sleepy little crossroad town in the middle of Citrus Country. My father was a medical doctor in the Navy and was transferred down here with the opening of the Naval Training Center Orlando, which soon became the largest employer of the area. Because of my love of biology and other sciences, I went to U.S.F. in Tampa and received a B.S. degree in Microbiology from the college of Natural Science. Later, after a short period working for the Naval Drug Screening Lab at N.A.S Jacksonville I continued my education with an internship in Medical Technology at Florida Hospital downtown Orlando.

I worked for approximately 5 years in the clinical laboratory as a Medical Technologist and made a change of careers by entering into Logan College of Chiropractic just outside of St. Louis MO. I graduated from Logan with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1997, and have been serving the people of Florida ever since.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the health care realm, I have gained an abundance of knowledge in the health sciences. I look forward to sharing those experiences and knowledge with my students here at Valencia College.
