Mrs. Conchi A. Cranston

Adjunct Instructor

My name is Conchi Cranston, I was born and raised in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). I studied law in the University of Pedralbes in Barcelona and I have both an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Spanish from the University of Central Florida.
I lived for ten years in Italy where I became fluent in Italian and I also speak Catalá (the official language of Catalonia) and French.
I have lived in Florida since 1992. I have worked at Valencia College since the year 2001 teaching Spanish and Latin American Humanities. I have also taught Spanish at UCF, Eastern Florida State College, and Daytona State College. Currently, I also teach Spanish at Lawton Chiles Middle School in Oviedo, Florida.
I enjoy traveling to Europe and Latin America and learning more about languages and different cultures. My hobbies are going to the beach, swimming, cycling, jogging, reading, playing with my dog, cooking and being with my family and friends.
Despite teaching online courses and not being able to have the same spontaneous interaction of a traditional face-to-face course, please rest assured that beyond your computer screen, there is a human being; me, your instructor who wants to help you have a rewarding learning experience. Please contact me via Atlas email if you need my help or if you would like to speak to me personally, by phone.
