Important Announcements
Online class information

If you are enrolling in one of my online classes, you can expect everything to take place online with the possibility of 1 or 2 exams being taken in a testing facility. If you are local, you can take the exam(s) that require proctoring in any of Valencia's testing centers. If you are not local, you will need to find a college campus or library in your area that will be willing to proctor a test. I'll need to get in touch with this facility to verify their services. For more specific information about my online classes or the online class that you're looking at enrolling in, please feel free to e-mail me at cmortimer2@mail.valenciacollege.edu

Hybrid class information

My hybrid classes can be thought of as online classes with the exception of a few class meetings where the entire class will review for each upcoming exam. See the "Note" when you search for classes for specific details on which days and times the class will actually meet. All class meetings will be required. All class meetings will be on the west campus. All exams must be taken on a Valencia campus in a Valencia testing center. You can expect approximately 6 exams throughout the semester. If you're looking for more specific information on the course you're intending to register for, please feel free to e-mail me at cmortimer2@mail.valenciacollege.edu

Face to Face - Intermediate Algebra

If you are taking one of my face to face intermediate algebra classes, please be advised that these will be run as a flipped classroom. In a standard classroom, the instruction (often a lecture) takes place in the classroom and then students are left to do the homework on their own. In a flipped classroom (which is how this class will run), students watch video lectures at home and class time is for students to work on the homework. All the homework is online so students must bring some sort of device to work on homework. Laptops and tablets can be checked out from Valencia and brought to class.
