I'm a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and hold a Ph.D. In Curriculum and Instruction, and a Masters in the Art of Science Teaching. My teaching experience spans over 25 years including middle school, secondary, undergraduate and graduate levels. While living in New Orleans, as the Dean of Science and Math at Delgado Community College, I served on the Blue Ribbon Committee for Improving Teacher Education for the State of Louisiana. As an Associate Professor in the College of Education at the University of New Orleans, she was recognized as an Outstanding Faculty Member and served as the Director for Professional Development Schools. After moving to Florida, in her role as National Education Development Manager for PASCO scientific, she worked with educators across the country to effectively integrate technology into their science classrooms. Currently, as the Campus Director for Faculty and Instructional Development, I partner with our faculty to help them develop their professional practice as a Valencia educator.
