Deanne Schulz

Professor - Communication

I earned my master's in communication from Pepperdine University and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Delaware. My work experience includes entertainment giants like Disney, Universal, Clear Channel, NBC and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". My jobs have ranged from on-air radio personality/news director to media/crisis communication manager for Fortune 500 companies.

I teach courses in Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication and Public Relations at UCF and Valencia. My goal is to take the anxiety out of communicating with others and inspire students to stand up and talk about topics that interest them.

On the personal side, I love to travel. I've backpacked across Europe, visited the Middle East and even trekked through northern Africa. I'm also a road trip fanatic and I love finding offbeat things to do all around the United States!
