Mr. Edward Frame

Professor of Humanities/Honors

Professor Frame has taught as a full-time professor at Valencia since 1994. He has previously taught at the University of Wisconsin and at the Universiti Sains in the country of Malaysia. His education includes a BA degree from the University of Hawaii and an MA degree from Ohio State University. Mr Frame has completed 52 hours of doctorate level courses from the University of Rochester/Eastman School of Music. While doing doctoral studies he received a Fulbright Research Abroad Scholarship and did research on the Island of Borneo for 9 months. Professor Frame served in the United State Peace Corps in the country of Malaysia for a period of two years. Professor Frame is married and has four children. His wife is from Malaysia where they met while he was serving in the Peace Corps. Mr. Frame has traveled to a total of 36 countries and continues to plan trips overseas. Professor Frame has led honor student overseas trips to Peru, Morocco, Paris, London and Vienna. In 2010 he spent 6 weeks on the Island of Borneo researching the mythology of Kadazandusan peoples. This was on a National Endowment of the Humanities Grant. Professor Frame served as co-chair of the College Planning Council from 2010 - 2011. He is currently a member of the faculty senate on West Campus. He recently spent 2 months (spring semester 2017-sabbatical) doing research in New Zealand with the Maori people. His most recent trip was to Israel and Jordan.
