At least one week before the semester begins, you will receive a welcome e-mail containing the syllabus and other information critical to the first day/week of class. Please make sure to check your Valencia e-mail periodically for this. If you registered for the class less than a week before the semester begins and did not received the e-mail, please read the Welcome Announcement in Canvas, which will be available at least 3 days before classes begin.

Proper lab attire (full coverage clothing and closed-toe / closed-heel shoes) is required for the lab. Crocs, ballet flats, boat shoes, and high heels are not acceptable footwear for the laboratory. If your toes, heels, and sides of your feet are visible, then the shoes do NOT meet the standard. Safety goggles must be worn when working with chemicals or specimen. Safety googles will be provided during the lab; however, I highly recommend that you purchase your own pair especially if you will be taking multiple lab classes. Googles must comply with ANSI Z8+D3 Standards. For safety reasons, there will be NO eating, drinking, or chewing (gum) in the lab. Application of makeup and/or lip balm is also prohibited. Food and drink should NOT be visible at any time. Please note: IF THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS BEGINS IN THE LAB (e.g. MCB 2010C, BSC 1010C, and BSC 1011C), YOU MUST HAVE THE APPROPRIATE ATTIRE (CLOTHING AND SHOES) IN ORDER TO ENTER THE LAB ROOM ON THAT DAY.
