Dr Fitzroy Farquharson

Professor of Mathematics

Over the years, Dr. Fitzroy Farquharson has conducted research on the effective and efficient usage of technology in education, especially in the math and science areas. He specializes in the planning, implementation, design, and evaluation of technology in education.

Dr. Farquharson has conducted numerous presentations on Effectiveness of Interactive Mathematics at Computer Mediated Learning Symposiums throughout the US. Some of the colleges and universities with which Dr. Farquharson has presented include Del Mar College, Wharton County Junior College, Texas A&M University, Baltimore City Community College, State College of Florida, and Hudson Valley Community College. Dr. Farquharson also conducted workshops on Challenges for Online Math Students, Instructors, and Administrators and Improving Success for Online Math Students at various conferences, including American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC), Sloan C-Conference, Mathematics Association of America (MAA), National Math Summit, 19th Annual Sloan C Conference, and International Conference on Technology in Collegiate Mathematics (ICTCM). He also participated in a discussion on the utilization of computer technology in the classroom at the National Symposium on Developmental Mathematics in Boston, MA.

Dr. Farquharson is a co-author of the CPT Mathematics Report and contributed to the publication, Supervision by Cassidy, C and Kreitner, R.
