Mrs. Gina Bortz

Adjunct Instructor

Gina Bortz earned her Master of Liberal Studies from Rollins College.

Her chosen areas of study during her undergraduate coursework included: Archaeology (Historical and Pre-historic); Archaeological artifact analysis (lab and field); Medical Anthropology; Anthropological Perspectives on Women’s Health; Applied Anthropology (Research foci: Gender studies, HPV transmission and education, and African Diaspora).

At the graduate level, chosen coursework included: Religion, Literature, Philosophy, and the Humanities.

Personal interests include the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, Star Wars, hiking, gardening and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bortz currently teaches full-time at a local school for students with learning disabilities and very much enjoys teaching at Valencia evenings, weekends and over the summer.
