Dr. Gustavo Morales

I am originally from Mexico City and came to the States to get a college education. I am a geologist. I have a B. S. from Baylor University, an M. A. from the University of Missouri, and a Ph. D. from Louisiana State University. I specialized in paleontology. The fossils I study are not the ugly, fire-breathing, dinosaurs that most people think they know, but the elegant, microscopic organisms that lived in the distant past and whose living relatives still populate the oceans of the world. I have worked for oil companies as Research Micropaleontologist for the Exxon Research Laboratory in Houston, Texas and as Exploration Geologist for Superior Oil Company in Denver, Colorado. I have also worked on drilling vessels. I taught at Baylor University for 13 years and at the University of Denver for 6 years before coming to Valencia. I have traveled half across the world and marveled at the many geologic features of far away lands.
