Prof. Julio César Falú is originally from Carolina, Puerto Rico, and is the youngest of three brothers with a younger sister. He completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Arts at the University of Puerto Rico−Carolina, as well as a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin−Madison. He started his design career in Miami, FL as a Communications Specialist for Aon Consulting, designing employee benefits packages for national corporations, and won his first national communications award.

Falú worked several years later as a freelance graphic designer for The Creative Group and later began to work as an in-house graphic designer for TUUCI, one of the world’s leading parasol manufacturers. He began his educational career as a full-time graphic design faculty for at the Miami International University of Art & Design (Art Institute of Miami) for nine years and founded OneLevel Studios, a Miami studio offering online services of graphic/web design, specialty printing, and 3D printing. He has won two American Design Award from GD USA Magazine, one in 2014 for Publication Design and the other in 2016 for Corporate Identity. Currently, he is the full-time Professor and Program Chair for the Graphic & Interactive Design program at the Osceola Campus of Valencia College.
