Dr. Jay Raskin

Humanities Instructor

I have a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of South Florida and a B.F.A. in Film from the School of Visual Arts in New York.

I have written and directed two feature films - "I Married a Vampire" and "Electra, Love 2000" distributed by Troma.

I have written a book published by xlibris called "The Evolution of Christs and Christianities." It puts forward five new hypotheses about the origins of Christianity.

I am currently researching another book deconstructing the origins of Christianity which involves postmodernist textual (literary and movie) theory.

I like to meditate by reading philosophy books.

I have over 500 movies on DVD, so you should be able to find some something worth watching if you visit me.

I have been married to my wife, Vicky, who is from Greece, for twenty-two years.

My fourteen year old daughter, Aphrodite, owns a horse named Dream.

I am not ready to make a narrative of my life.
