Jill M. Sebacher graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with her BA in English in 1999, having also completed the university’s Honors in the Major degree requirements and composed a collection of creative non-fiction works entitled Morning Glories.
UCF awarded her its Undergraduate to Graduate Fellowship with which she earned her MA in English in 2001 and created a collection of poetry entitled 7 Grains. During her tenure at the university, Ms. Sebacher was honored to be a member of Sigma Tau Delta (International English Honor Society), published multiple works in The Cypress Dome, and worked as an assistant editor for The Florida Review.
Currently, she is a tenured professor at Valencia College, where she has taught writing since 2000 and been a member of the Honors Program faculty since 2003. Ms. Sebacher has served as faculty advisor of The Phoenix, the award-winning VC literary magazine, published pieces in The Valencia Forum, The Fox Hat Review, Wizards in Space, Resistance Is Magic, Please See Me and 86Logic and was honored to be chosen for Who’s Who among America’s Teachers.
