Jerry Watson


Welcome to my FrontDoor. I served over 23 years in the United States Army, beginning my career there as an electronics repairman. After seven years I attended flight school and began my career as a helicopter pilot. I flew for over 15 years retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer IV, I saw combat in Desert Storm where I was awarded the AIr Medal and Bronze Star for my actions.
I recently retired from the State of Alaska as a Correctional Officer III where I worked at Fairbanks Correctional Center in Fairbanks, Alaska for over 19 years. I temporarily held the positions of Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent for periods of time during my final years there. I also taught at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks in the Justice Department for three years as well as at Central Texas College for a year while in Alaska.
Academically I have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Social and Criminal Justice, from Ashford University a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Ashford University, 18 Graduate level credits in Justice from Colorado State University, and I am nearly "ABD", all but dissertation, in a PhD program at Walden University.
