Kristi Simon is an Orlando native who enjoys studying and teaching United States history! After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Social Science education, she earned her Masters in History from Florida State University. Kristi's historical research focuses on the way antebellum Americans conceptualized, diagnosed, and treated mental illness in the antebellum South. Outside of the classroom, Kristi enjoys traveling, going to the beach, fitness kickboxing, and talking about her dog.
