Lori Guiseppi

Adjunct Professor, English

Lori Guiseppi has over 25 years of experience in Education, including two years of high school teaching and 18 years of collegiate instruction.

Professor Guiseppi served as the English professor and Writing Tutoring coordinator for Herzing University in Winter Park, FL for the past 11 years. Prior to Herzing, she was an Assistant Professor of English Composition and Developmental Studies (tenured) at Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, KY for six years. Additionally, she also served as the college's Writing Center Director and as a Master Advisor with the Advising and Assessment Center.

Lori received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1991 from Fisk University in Nashville, TN, and her Master of Arts Degree in English Education in 1993 from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. GO CATS!!

Lori has received several acknowledgments and awards for her academic service, including the Herzing University - Orlando campus Faculty of the Year (2009); the 2002 Outstanding Teaching Award Nominee, nominated at Lexington Community College, Lexington, KY, sponsored by the Faculty Award Committee (Spring 2003); and the Most Creative Teacher Award, Fall Semester, Lexington Community College, sponsored by the Student Government (2000).

Professor Guiseppi has three children, and in her spare time, she serves as their Uber driver for all of their extra-curricular and sports activities. Her greatest and most fulfilling job is being a mother to the three loves of her life, and in her words, "I am the proud mama of a precocious 10 year-old man-child, a 16 year-old soccer-playing thespian, and a 19-year-old soccer-playing sophomore Cadet (Yuk) at The United States Military at West Point."
