Professor Schellpfeffer has taught Speech at Valencia College, East Campus since 2006. She has taught Fundamentals of Speech and Interpersonal Communication in traditional, hybrid and online formats. As Speech Division Coordinator, she works with the Dean to manage course scheduling, adjunct faculty training, and research projects in the speech discipline. As a facilitator for Faculty Development, she has lead various online and hybrid courses for faculty like Boot Camp for Online Instruction. During Destination 2013, she was Facilitator Coordinator for the Action Research Track assisting with the development of session curricula and supporting research participants as they develop and execute Action Research Plans.

Liza earned a master’s degree in communication at the University of Central Florida, a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Central Florida, and a bachelor's degree in Film/TV at Boston University.

Liza lives in Orlando with her family: husband, son, daughter and her yellow lab, Blossom. Outside the classroom, Liza is often found cheering at her son’s sporting events or enjoying a theatrical performance, put on by her daughter’s troupe. When not involved in family events, Liza enjoys exercise and eating out.
