Teaching Philosophy: Teaching is my "Passion." My role as an Educator is to teach my students taking into consideration their learning style. I need to prepare them for the job market. To do this, I use lecture, hands on, textbooks, special projects, presentations, technology, etc. I encourage them to take responsibility for their learning, know, understand and follow the syllabi, course policies and course objectives. My role as a teacher includes the “leadership” role in the classroom. I offer guidance, assistance, leadership, dedication and friendliness to each individual. I encourage my students to learn "all" that they possibly can. I participate in faculty development courses to enhance my teaching. I value each student as a unique individual and offer academic support; teach the value of critical thinking, reading and writing as part of a lifelong commitment to excellence. I offer guidance, assistance, leadership, dedication and friendliness to each individual. I encourage my students to learn “all” that they possibly can. I utilize new, innovative strategies and have reflected on collaboration exercises for online and hybrid courses. My participation in these workshops has helped me assess my skills and identify areas where I need to grow. As an educator, I need to constantly improve through self-analysis and implementation of appropriate changes. My students’ participation in learning includes assessment activities, course participation, active engagement, readings and/or discussions, etc. An open minded attitude is essential along with personal honesty, and a willingness to share knowledge and ideas with constructive feedback. As a result, I am able to assess my instruction to help my students improve their learning.
