Dr. Nicole Boucher Spottke

Professor of English

Education and Professional Experience

I am a graduate of the State University of New York College at New Paltz with a BA and an MA in literature

I am a graduate of the University of South Florida, Tampa with a PhD in literature.

Teaching Duties

I teach online, hybrid, and traditional courses at VC--ENC 0027, ENC 1101, and ENC 1102, and Introduction to Literature.

I also teach professional development courses for Valencia instructors

Teaching Philosophy, Briefly

My teaching philosophy is that diversity enhances learning. You are all of different races, nationalities, genders, sexual preferences, socio-economic backgrounds and more. And it is because of our diverse experiences that learning occurs as we discuss our differences with relation to literature, writing, and life in general.

Outside Interests

I love reading, traveling, and writing. I write a blog that began in London over the summer 2016. Read about it and more recent adventures here: https://anamericanintrovertinlondon.wordpress.com/
