Dr. O. Moussa

Physics Professor

Dr. Moussa started his journey with physics at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, where he obtained a BSc in Applied Physics.

Close to the end of his undergraduate studies, he became intrigued with Quantum Mechanics, and decided to pursue graduate studies in quantum information processing (at the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada) in the hopes that this would help him understand the nature of nature on the most fundamental levels.

He then happily toiled in academic labs for more than a decade, helping to sort out some of the fundamental challenges facing the efforts toward building a quantum computer. This journey in fact helped to shed some light on the fundamental questions about nature, but in effect raised more questions than it answered.

He is always up for a discussion about nature, quantum theory, the physics of everyday life, artificial intelligence, and baseball.
