Shreya Bansal

Adjunct Faculty

I graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Health and Humanities and a Minor in Fine Arts, after which I got a Master’s of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. I have a strong background in anatomy from my own coursework and from working with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles on comparative anatomy and paleontological research. I know a lot of you will be trying to attain professional degrees like nursing, physical therapy, dentistry and other medical licenses. That is my eventual goal as well, but I decided to take some time off to teach because teaching has been a part of my life for the past eight years and I couldn’t give it up just yet.
I remember clearly what it felt like to be a student and what was most and least helpful for me in anatomy and physiology lectures. I will be organizing my lectures and labs with you in mind, using strategies that I remember had helped me and my peers most. My experience as a recent student and my own medical aspirations mean that my lectures will be direct and full of relevant life examples that will help you not only do well in my class, but will also help you remember the information I teach you for your future coursework.
Anatomy and Physiology will be a foundational course for many of you interested in a future in the medical sciences. I hope that you find my tips, tricks, and tools as helpful as I had when I was in your shoes, and that this class helps each of you attain the careers you are looking for.
