RESEARCH INTERESTS

My current research interest is the infrared spectroscopy of the minerals and meteorites. The main focus of my research is understanding the spectral features of minerals and rocks, mainly in the far-infrared portion of the electro-magnetic spectrum. My previous research, including my PhD topic, was related to chemical synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanoparticles with tunable magnetic properties, particularly for biomedical applications. I feel that this research experience will add greatly to my teaching credibility over a variety of subjects.
