Course Description
Introduction to basic skills, concepts, methods, and tools used in visual art. Emphasis will be on increasing powers of visual observation and drawing from life.
Course Objectives
This course is an introduction to drawing. Accurate observation and recording of visual perceptions will be the initial focus. As students progress they will develop a vocabulary both visual and verbal with which to address the image making process. Emphasis will be placed on expanding students’ powers of perception and prompting original yet relevant solutions to drawing problems presented in this class.
