Calculus 3

All Sections

The class calendar and my office and contact info is here: http://goo.gl/4U2Qx

Book: Stewart Calculus 7th edition. I will follow it and use it in class and suggest homework problems from it, but I won't require you to buy.

Grading: Homework and tests will be given periodically. There will be 4 tests (80%) and a comprehensive final exam (20%). Tests are open-book, open-notes, but no cell phones or computers. No extra credit is given for any reason. The homework will be suggested but not graded. We can discuss them at the beginning of each class. No tests are dropped.

How to Behave: Please put your cell phone on silent before class, don’t bring food inside class (drinks okay), and don’t talk during class. Thank You.

Attendance: If you miss more than 3 classes, you may be dropped from the roll and then would receive a grade of W. If you withdraw before the withdraw deadline (check the calendar) you get a W, and after then you get an F.

Tutoring: Tutoring is available in building 7 on the second floor and in my office hours.

Academic Honesty: You are expected to do your own work on exams. Providing information to another student or receiving information concerning exam content is considered cheating. Each student is expected to be in complete compliance with the college policy on academic honesty as set forth in the admissions catalog and the student handbook. The professor reserves the right to determine the appropriate penalties within Valencia Community College’s academic honesty policies.

Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities who qualify for academic accommodations must provide a Notification to Instructor (NTI) form from the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) and discuss specific needs with the professor, preferably during the first two weeks of class. The Office for Students with Disabilities determines accommodations based on appropriate documentation of disabilities."
