Jack Rogers

Professor of Geology

I'm a geology professor with a specialty in Vertebrate Paleontology. My career highlights include the discovery, study, description, and publication of a previously unknown species of fossil crocodile and the discovery of the world's oldest known complete fossil crocodile egg.
I'm now at Valencia's East campus primarily teaching introductory courses in Earth Science and Oceanography. My strong interest in nature and preserving the environment has led to my active involvement in conservation organizations as well as a hobby as an accomplished nature photographer.
