Energy Management and Controls Technology

I teach E1603C Commissioning through Design and E2607C Troubleshooting Automation and Control Systems at Valencia West Campus.

I love applying real world hands on experiences or case studies within the energy sector to our in class lessons.

Presently I am a Sr. Program Manager in the power generation and utility industry located in Orlando, Fl. In my 16 year career I have successfully managed upwards of $20 million controls engineering projects that range from design upgrades, new unit installs, turnkey scope, and commissioning. Creating project schedules, managing budgets, overseeing project technical scope, and supporting commissioning teams is a small sample of my day-to- day job as a program manager.

My background in engineering (design and commissioning)

I have been a Technical Lead in the automation and controls engineering field for 16+ years. This includes working in both the U.S and internationally in countries such as U.K., Sweden, Germany, Peru, and Australia. I have also been a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer while living in: Texas, Nevada, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida.
