Kimberlee Harvey, M.S. RRT-NPS

Clinical Coordinator for Respiratory Care

My name is Kimberlee Harvey and I am the Clinical Coordinator for the Respiratory Care Program.  I obtained my A.S. in Respiratory Care and A.A. here at Valencia College in 1995. From there I started working as a pediatric respiratory therapist at Arnold Palmer Hospital. While working full time, I graduated in 2000 with a B.A.degree in Education from the University of Central Florida. I furthered my education and graduated with an M.S. in Respiratory Care Leadership from Northeastern University in 2015.

I am a registered respiratory therapist and a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist. I am a member of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Florida Society for Respiratory Care (FSRC), and American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). I am a certified instructor in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).

In 1995, I began working at Orlando Health as a respiratory therapist to help patients with breathing problems, such as asthma, cystic fibrosis, and COPD. In 2007, I also became a life support educator to the Orlando Health medical staff and students enrolled in the paramedic and nursing programs at the local community colleges. I worked at Central Florida Pulmonary Clinic in 2007. I performed Pulmonary Function Testing for those with COPD and educated them on home oxygen, CPAP, and NIV equipment.

In 2008, I joined the team at Valencia College as an adjunct instructor for the Respiratory Care Program. In August of 2009, I became the Clinical Coordinator for the program. My goal at Valencia is to give my respiratory care students quality educations so that they may become gainfully employed.
