Dr. Maoying(Alice) Song holds her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of California, is currently a Visiting Professor of Chemistry at Valencia College.

Dr. Song holds 12 peer-reviewed journal publications, 25 invited and conference presentations and one patent. Dr. Song has accomplished significantly in her 12+ years’ research and development activities in organic synthetic chemistry and chemical development for pharmaceutical intermediates, catalysts and biotechnology applications. Industrial positions Dr. Song has been holding varies from Senior Scientist, Chief Scientist, R&D Project Leader, Technical Director to even Chief Technology Officer.

Dr. Song teaches college-level Chemistry for more than eight years. Courses she taught range from Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, Reactivity and Mechanism in Organic Chemistry to Materials Chemistry.
