Prof. Alison Adderley

Professor of Economics

I am a proud Jersey girl with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Organizational Behavior from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the University of South Florida in Tampa.

I was recruited by IBM to be a Systems Engineer and spent about five years marketing as an Office Systems Specialist in the Orlando area. Since 1990 I have been in academia,at Brevard Community College, which is now Eastern Florida State College. where I served as Marketing and Business Curriculum Coordinator, Department Chair, Academic Dean and Dean of Enrollment Management before assuming the position as Dean of the Palm Bay Campus. I've been a director and Instructor at UCF and one year as Dean of Academic Affairs for Keiser University in Daytona Beach.

I am currently completing my doctorate in Leadership and Management from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens.

BUT… My most important accomplishment is my 20-something year old daughter!! She graduated in May, 2017 from UCF with degree in accounting, and has what she calls, her first "big girl job" as a property accountant. Yeah, I'm proud of her!

My passion outside of work and school (I am completing my doctorate.) is Jazz! I love music, but especially Jazz. I also love to travel, and hopefully will be visiting many more countries within the next few years. And, I am becoming somewhat of a foodie, though I admit I watch more food channel shows and collect more recipes than I cook!!
