Prof. Alison Adderley
I am a proud Jersey girl with a Bachelors degree in Economics and Organizational Behavior from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
I was recruited by IBM to be a Systems Engineer and spent about five years marketing as an Office Systems Specialist in the Orlando area. Since 1990 I have been in academia, at Brevard Community College, which is now Eastern Florida State College. where I served as Marketing and Business Curriculum Coordinator, Department Chair, Academic Dean and Dean of Enrollment Management before assuming the position as Dean of the Palm Bay Campus. I've been a director and Instructor at UCF and one year as Dean of Academic Affairs for Keiser University in Daytona Beach.
BUT… My most important accomplishment is my 30-year old daughter who graduated a few years ago with a degree in accounting from UCF. She is currently an Accounting Manager for a national real estate management company, where she has been since she graduated, and has gotten several promotions!! She is working online towards a masters degree in Finance at Purdue!! She is my heart! But she jumps out of planes, and makes my heart stop!
My passion outside of work and school (I am completing my doctorate.) is Jazz! I love music, but especially Jazz. I also love to travel, and hopefully will be visiting many more countries within the next few years. And, I am becoming somewhat of a foodie, though I admit I watch more food channel shows and collect more recipes than I cook!!
