Andrew Ray

Program Chair for Built Environment (CCET & CADD)

Professor Ray has been involved in the Central Florida design & construction community for many years. Highlights of his career:
Master's in Architecture from Texas A&M
Historic preservation projects in Fort Myers, FL Florida Registered Architect since 1990
Founded Array Design and started teaching at Valencia in 1991
Past President of the local chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute
Former Construction Manager with Habitat for Humanity.
Recipient of many Hubbard Const. Endowed Chairs, and the NISOD and Roueche awards for Teaching Excellence.
Mr. Ray enjoys travel and learning about construction. Fall 2015 he completed a sabbatical through 29 countries in Europe, studying applications of renewable energy, construction practices, and visited contacts at 5 universities. His wife, Alison, is also an Architect, and they have two sons, Alex and Tony.
