Christopher Samuelson
Adjunct Biology Professor
Hello Valencia students. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY. I spent most of my teen years in Oxford, England before returning to the Big Apple where I worked for a number of years as Office Manager for the Environmental Defense Fund. I earned my Masters in Biology at the University of Texas at Tyler. My thesis was a spatial analysis of Three-toed box turtles.
I have a very strong interest in evolutionary biology, phylogenetic systematics, natural history and conservation. My area of focus is amphibians, reptiles and especially snakes of the Neotropics. Currently I have a publication in review pertaining to the coralsnakes of Central America. I look forward to meeting you in class.
