During the D.P.M. program, I specialized in plant pest risk assessment, completing an internship at the U. S. I also completed an internship at the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Plant Industry, Citrus Health Response Program in Gainesville, Florida. In addition to the D.P.M., I earned a Certificate in Plant Pest Risk Assessment and Management.

After receiving my Doctor of Plant Medicine degree, I worked as a post-doc for 2.5 years in Plant Pathology at the University of Florida. I teach at two colleges. I have been teaching at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL since August, 2012. I have been teaching at Valencia College since August 2020.

I spend most of my time thinking about my classes and my students. I don't have much time for hobbies, but I try to make time to play the piano and read. I am also trying to learn Spanish.
