Kevin Chau

I am an Earth Science professor originally from Miami, FL with a Bachelor of Science in Geology and a Master of Science in Geoscience. While I love all aspects of studying our planet, my research focused on the chemistry and origins of magmas and lavas and the igneous rocks they produce. I got to melt samples in order to turn them to glass - I made lava!

I enjoy balancing science with art and creativity. I am a photographer and I love building and making things.

My goal is more than just teaching the course material; I want to share my passion about science and the world around us.
