Courses Taught: American Government and International Relations
Experience: Masters Graduate of UCF's Department of Political Science. Eleven years of college teaching experience, creating and teaching lesson plans for a diverse student population.
Pedagogy: I structure my courses for students around reading assignments and activities connected with textbook chapters that facilitates true engagement with the material. A combination of short lectures, class discussions, collaborative activities, presentations and motivational speaking are employed in order to inspire student thinking and development.
My goal is not only to instruct but to encourage students to become socially-aware and perceptive thinkers and writers about the world.
Bringing connection and genuine engagement into my lectures and lesson plans is a fundamental part of my teaching process and philosophy.
