Dr. Matthew Schuler

Dr. Schuler received his B.A. in Philosophy from New College of Florida, his M.A. in Philosophy from Virginia Tech, and, in 2019, his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Arizona.

His research focuses on the philosophy of artificial intelligence, the philosophy of science, bioethics, and philosophy of mind; with respect to his teaching, he has a passion for developing (and learning about) cutting-edge technology, pedagogy, and innovations in learner-centered student engagement.

In his spare time, he enjoys writing and recording music, which he does as a one-man band called The Soft Focus.
