Robert Young

I have received my Bachelors in Science in 'Computer Programming & Systems Design' from the University of Phoenix, and my Associates in Science in 'Computer Networking and Security' from Anthem College. I hold several COMPTIA certifications including the A+ and NET+ and various vendor specific certifications.

I currently work in the Software as a Service (SaaS) industry as a 'Solutions Consultant' advising my clients on how to deploy solutions on a hardware level and software level. I have worked in the IT field in several aspects from a Bench Tech to Administrator level for the last 15 years. I have worked for companies such as Ricoh, Aon Hewitt, Empower Software, and Kronos. In working my roles I have served clients such as Siemens, State Farm, Northrup Grumman, and NASA, and have become keenly aware on how these businesses expect IT processes to flow. It is this type of knowledge I try and incorporate into my lesson plan.

I have been teaching since 2010 and I really enjoy spending time in the classroom and discussing technology. Since the IT Field is an ever changing and evolving field, I encourage class participation on new ideas and current events as they apply to the subject material.
