The Valencia College, BASBOL Program utilizes the use, creation, and published material of Open Educational Resources to enhance the quality of the student experience provided that the resources are fit-for-purpose and relevant. The use, creation, and publication of Open Educational Resources are consistent with reducing student textbook costs, therefore contributing to the community, economic, and cultural well-being of students. NOTE: Students may use any scholarly material in researching (for reference and citation purposes) written assignments. The OER textbook provided through this portal is required reading and each Discussion, Case Study, and Research Paper has a minimum requirement for referencing and citing the OER textbook. An article published in the Announcements Tab details how the OER textbook and other required material for Case Studies are to be referenced and cited in the student's written assignments. Please properly reference or cite this material to ensure the best score for each graded assignment. Required Textbook and Materials: This course uses open educational resources (OERs) and other materials required, primary reference. Therefore, students are not required to purchase any textbooks for this course. The resources for this course are listed within the course and can be readily accessed using the provided links or attachments. There may be additional required and/or recommended readings, supplemental materials, or other resources and websites necessary; which will be provided within the course, and throughout the term via the assignment/discussion/quiz or exam areas.
